Not only is Park Slope one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Brooklyn, but it’s also one of the most sought-after in all of New York City. It has earned a reputation for being family-friendly, with highly rated public and private schools, plenty of afterschool programs and camps, and numerous playgrounds. People without kids will find plenty of attractions too, including nightspots ranging from quiet to lively. A plethora of independent shops help Park Slope retain its distinctive neighborhood vibe, and perhaps best of all, Park Slope is adjacent to Prospect Park, with its trails, lake, concerts, zoo, and festivals. The neighborhood is also well served by public transit—but given that Park Slope pretty much has it all, you might not want to ever venture away.
