Selling and buying in New York City during a pandemic…in 2020!

After several years of considering whether to sell our home (and look for a larger space), we interviewed seven real estate brokers and found Jacob Wood to be the perfect fit for us. He has a high level of professionalism, deep knowledge of the entire process, and an intuitive knowledge of the psychology of buying and selling apartments (making him an excellent negotiator). He was willing to try new approaches to sell our Upper West Side HDFC coop, and he promptly picked up the phone every time we called. In short, he went many extra miles to make sure we were happy.

We listed our home just a couple of months before the pandemic. Jacob Wood was a huge help as we prepared our home for sale, in listing the home at the right price, and in attracting A LOT of potential buyers. After just a couple of weeks in the market, we had our first couple of offers.

Unfortunately, we needed to take our home off the market for a couple of months due to the pandemic. We realized that this was going to be an extra stressful experience, and we’re happy that we were working with a broker who we really like.
