Jane Katz is a lifelong New Yorker. Her understanding of New York City real estate began early through her father, a successful real estate developer, and has been strengthened by decades of living in, experiencing and selling in Manhattan’s diverse neighborhoods.
For nearly a decade, Jane has focused on Manhattan luxury real estate, buyer and seller representation, investment properties, rentals, relocation, and first-time home purchases. She brings a strategic, highly responsive approach to every transaction, anticipating issues, negotiating firmly, and managing the details closely so her clients can make informed decisions with confidence. She serves buyers, sellers, investors, tenants, and first-time buyers throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Jane’s work has earned her recognition as a Top 7% Coldwell Banker Agent Worldwide in 2025, a Top 1.5% Real Estate Professional Nationwide through RealTrends Verified 2026, and a Top 2.5% Real Estate Professional in New York City through RealTrends Verified 2026. Her real estate insights have also been quoted by Forbes, the New York Post, Robb Report, Variety, Brick Underground, Apartment Therapy, Curbed, and StreetEasy.
Before entering residential real estate, Jane spent 25 years as a publishing executive, selling advertising and event sponsorships for Playbill, Harper’s Bazaar, and Interview, where she also served as Associate Publisher. Her publishing career gave her extensive experience in sales, negotiation, client service, and managing high-value relationships with major brands and senior decision-makers. That background now helps her advise real estate clients clearly, negotiate effectively, and manage complex New York transactions with professionalism and discretion.
Jane knows the character and nuances of Manhattan’s neighborhoods firsthand. She has lived in Greenwich Village, Midtown East, the Upper West Side, and the Upper East Side, and currently resides in Carnegie Hill. This personal knowledge, combined with her professional experience, allows her to help clients evaluate not only a property, but also the neighborhood and lifestyle surrounding it.
Jane is President Emeritus and a current member of the Board of Directors of the Sisterhood Division of Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun. During her tenure as President, she developed fundraising programs supporting domestic and international charitable organizations. She is also an active alumna of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Outside of real estate and community involvement, Jane enjoys entertaining, cooking, playing canasta, and traveling with her husband and two sons. She is known among friends and family as a frequent host and spontaneous chef.
