Meet Steven
Sales Director | Luxury Property SpecialistSteve Goldschmidt is a lifelong New Yorker and 40-year real estate veteran with an encyclopedic understanding of the market and the city's uniquely diverse neighborhoods.
After joining Warburg (now Coldwell Banker Warburg) in 2001, Steve quickly became a top broker (earning Rookie of the Year honors and several Top Ten Agent finishes) and continues to serve a discerning clientele of buyers and sellers. He has been instrumental in facilitating the acquisition, sale, leasing, conversion, and management of many of Manhattan’s elite luxury properties. Steve's knowledge and experience led to his invitation to join Warburg’s management team in 2005. He currently serves as the firm’s Director of Sales.
Highly respected by clients and peers for his keen intelligence and breadth of knowledge, Steve actively shares his expertise in various volunteer positions with the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). He is the past co-Chair of REBNY’s RLS multiple listing system and past co-Chair of REBNY’s Residential Sales Council. In 2018, in recognition of his contributions to the industry, Steve has received the Henry Forster Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest honor the REBNY Residential Division can bestow. He currently serves as Co-Chair of REBNY’s New Development Committee and Co-Chair of the Member In Need Committee. As of 2025, he is a newly elected member of REBNY’s Residential Board of Directors.
Steve is a longtime member of his Upper West Side Co-op’s Board of Directors. His belief in community service extends beyond the world of New York real estate - he is a founding member of the Board of Directors of Intercare Foundation - a charitable organization that provides financial scholarship support and educational programs for individuals and families seeking to recover from alcohol and substance abuse. He is also an active supporter of the Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts and Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival in Vermont.
